I pray that no parent comes across situation like me : Siddaramaiah

Grieving Siddaramaiah thanks people for showing solidarity

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Aug 3: In a statement released on the night of Tuesday August 2, chief minister, Siddaramaiah, remarked, "I pray that no parent comes across the situation I am facing, in which grown up children breath their last in front of the eyes of their parents."

Adding further, he said that the sudden ill health and death of his elder son, Rakesh, has pushed him and his family into an abyss of grief. "Rakesh has left his family members and lacs of his well-wishers. Our family might need a long time to recover out of this shock. Personally I find it hard to bear this parting," he stated.

"When Rakesh was undergoing treatment at Belgium, people from the state, transcending differences of castes, religions, parties, sects etc unitedly wished him well. A youth from Bengaluru, Vijendra, settled in Belgium, and his wife, voluntarily visited us at the hospital and brought home made food every day. This gesture filled our hearts. I cannot also forget the sight of the sea of humanity which had gathered for the funeral of my son. Humanity personified itself in the form of that crowd in front of my eyes. I am ever grateful for the love and affection showered by people on me and my family. I am also indebted to dignitaries who pledged solidarity with us, gave us company, and consoled us," he said.

All through Tuesday, Siddaramaiah, who is down with unbearable grief, remained aloof and away from people. He chose to spend the entire day in solitude at his house.

The chief minister, who fell silent after the funeral on Monday, suddenly started his journey towards Bengaluru at night and reached his official residence, 'Kaveri', by midnight. On Tuesday, he remained inside his house and did not like to meet anyone. In the evening, minister, Dr H C Mahadevappa, was the only one who met him. Reportedly Mahadevappa advised the chief minister to open up and mingle with people to forget his grief.

Siddaramaiah also thanked H D Deve Gowda for conveying his condolences at the death of Rakeh.

On account of the death of Rakesh and bitter incident of atrocities on farmers participating in Mahadayi water dispute protests, home minister, Dr G Parameshwar, has decided not to celebrate his birthday falling on August 6. He has requested his followers not to release advertisements or hang banners, flexes etc to celebrate his birthday.

Quite emotional statement of CM on loosing the son in young age which is quite natural to a father to contemplate early death of his budding son.May God bless him with the strength to bear this loss.

This is really big pain for Siddu to go through for a while, very sad indeed. Hopefully by now he realized that every human life is precious in this earth. His statement during Dysp Ganapathi's death was very inhuman way without thinking of the fact that Dysp's son/daughter lost his/her father.

BTW i feel bad for the loss of his son....when congress came to power with siddaramiah as a CM, we expected a lot...but i guess he was bound to take looters in his cabinet thanks to "pappu, diggy and the scamia gandhi".......im sure he is going thru a lot...one end filling the gandhi clans coffers for their election battles...and in return incurring peoples wrath for no fault of his....hope he recovers from this shock ASAP...and does damage recovery as 2018 is not too far.......

NOBODY IS BEYOND THE WILL OF GOD.
IT IS ALL PART AND PARCEL OF LIFE.
    NOTHING IS SPECIAL. THOSE PARENTS
WHO HAVE LOST THEIR KIDS TWO OF THEM FROM EACH FAMILY IS SO SAD WHICH NOBODY CAN IMAGINE.
TODAY WE SPEAK BUT TOMORROW WE FORGET WHAT TODAY WE SPEAK AND START OUR OLD CULTURE.
WE BLAME OTHERS TO THE STRAIGHT OF OUR NOSE BUT ONCE IF WE THINK IN OTHERS POSITION WE GET TO KNOW WHERE WE ARE.
NO BODY IS PERMANENT HERE AND EVERY BODY KNOWS WE HAVE TO LEAVE THIS WORLD BUT WE KEEP ON DOING WRONG THINGS OR ENJOYING IN OTHERS SORROW. IF IT COMES TO OUR FEET WE BLAME GOD BUT GOD HAS TO BE BLIND WHEN WE DO WRONG AND HE SHOULD SEE ONLY WHAT WE DO GOOD TO OUR OWN PEOPLE. INSTEAD OF PRAYING WE SHOULD FIRM ABOUT OUR ACTIONS NOT TO HURT ANYBODY AT ANY COST AT ANY LEVEL.

My heart felt condolences to the Siddharamaiahji family, but I agree him as good leader as majority Kannadigas does. Remember neither every Dalit is poor nor every Bramin is rich. In this modern world everyone should be treated same. Poor should be given benefits irrespective of the caste, that's when our India grows and can compete the world seamlessly.

Also since he is a CM there are many widows in Karnataka which they do not have any income. He should see that they get some monthly pension so that their living is safe

Dear CM, my sincere condolence to you and your family and may god give strength to bear this pain and loss.
Kind request, Please do not stop the ambulance when your convoy is passing. Please give a strict instruction to police to allow ambulance with patient. It was really heartbreaking to see a guy pleading with police to allow ambulance which was stopped by police recently. When you have a privilege to get the better treatment in Singapore or US, please ensure and make a room for poor to get treatment at least in government hospital in emergency cases when any politicians convoy is passing. Life of a person is very important no matter he is rich, poor or belongs to different religion, cast. Let’s love each other realize the pain of all the section of people in the society.

When it comes to own personal life, he is broken. But has he ever tried to understand what the public of karnataka is going thru'?? Let take the case of ambulance death, which could have been avoided. But did he care for the death ? Just to have free roads during his travel, he put it up with a laugh and said "people have to bear". In such case, why should people bear his sons death ? May be god has only given him short life. On a personal note, I fully agree that no parent should go thru'what CM has gone thru, and never would I pray anyone to come across such incident. Purely on humanity, I pray almighty to rest the departed soul in peace and home that CM would come out of this great grief.

As a person,CM Siddaramaiah is a good person, but SAHAVAASA DOSHA makes everyone bad..Siddu is surrounded by negative people like Italian Lady,Pappu,Diggy,George..They made him corrupt and arrogant person..Surprisingly,I expected Italian Lady and her confused son Raul Vinci to attend funeral of Rakesh Sidramaiah,They did not come and Italian Lady went to Varanasi for election campaign and to attack Modi. But returned at the same speed.Even Karnataka's controversial politician Ex Minister George whom Siddu protected all these days was not with Siddu..(He should have been with him till the end of funeral..Did he attend ?),Anyway,It is big, very big loss..Hope Siddu will come out form this shock very quickly..State is facing so many problems..He should be back on track keeping out emotion aside..

Note: One thing Siddu might have noticed after this tragedy that BJP leaders are NOT bad as he expected..I protest those people who uploaded some pics om FB and Whatsapp about Rakesh to hurt Siddu..Feeling bad that I believed "it was a real pics"..Sorry Sir..
