Mysuru: Marigowda surrenders, remanded in judicial custody till August 16

Daijiworld Media Network - Mysuru (SP)

Mysuru, Aug 4: Marigowda from Mysuru, a Congress activist who said to be close to chief minister, Siddaramaiah, was remanded to judicial by third JMFC court here till August 16. Marigowda was absconding since the last 32 days since he posed threat to district deputy commissioner, C Shikha, obstructing her from discharging her duties, and publicly insulted her. The deputy commissioner had filed police complaint against Marigowda.

Marigowda had tried during this period to secure anticipatory bail through the lower court and again from the high court. But both the courts had declined to grant him bail. During the hearing of anticipatory bail petition, the high court had even wondered about the fact that a large number of cases pending against Marigowda had been dropped by the state government, saying that this speaks volumes about his political clout. The chief minister had also said that he would not interfere in the matter.

Realizing that his efforts are sure to go futile, Marigowda surrendered at Nazarbad police station on Wednesday August 3. The police produced him in the court, upon which he was sent to judicial custody.

as per law court has taken the action. but why the police dept unable to arrest him all these days? even after surrender, the police officer of the station has not allowed media persons to enter the premises to shoot the videos & photo why? if a common man then these police will take a photo with him & arrange to publish in the media but for this guy they are not allow why? again in the station they arranged the food for him why? still he has shown his power & influence in the dept.

again & again it demonstrate that for common people & for politician different hospitality in this govt.

Respect to the law of the land should be appreciated. At the same time every citizen has the right to seek remedy from the courts of law. Good he surrendered and sought legal remedy.
