Iggy Pop pays tribute to David Bowie

Los Angeles, Aug 4 (IANS): Singer-songwriter Iggy Pop recalled his memories of his friend, the late David Bowie, during a two-hour special radio show.

The "Lust for Life" singer discussed his memories of Bowie -- who died of cancer in January -- and had a special playlist that spanned the "Ziggy stardust" hitmaker's career on his two-hour BBC 6 Music show "Iggy Confidential", reports femalefirst.co.uk.

Pop admitted he had personally chosen the songs according to his memories of Bowie.

"The way I chose them was from memory. I took out a piece of paper and a pen and closed my eyes and just remembered what I liked at different times ... I'm weighing things that are a little more low on the totem pole, but not obscure," Pop said.
