Bengaluru, Aug 4: Even after nearly 20 days since a judicial commission was formed to look into the circumstances leading to the suicide committed by deputy superintendent of police (DySP), M K Ganapati, the commission is yet to be allotted space, staff, and vehicle for the purpose.

The government had issued notification on July 16, announcing formation of Justice Keshavanarayana commission of inquiry into the matter. The department of internal administration had written to the department of personnel and administrative reforms, asking it to provide room, court hall, and necessary staff and other facilities for the functioning of the inquiry commission in Balabrooie guest house along with equipment, landline, fax etc and also a good vehicle and driver. This letter was written on July 20, and although both the departments are located in the same building, nothing has moved ever since.

The BJP too, which had held rallies, gave interviews, and held protests, seems to have fallen silent on the issue after minister, K J George, tendered his resignation.

There is suspicion that this may be a part of a systematic plan to see that the investigation is not held properly in the case. Police investigation is also not being held currently in the case, it is learnt.
