'Suits' renewed for season 7


Los Angeles, Aug 4 (IANS): “Suits”, USA Network's longest-running original scripted series on air, has been renewed for seventh season for a premiere in 2017.

The renewal comes as the drama series moves through its sixth season, reports deadline.com.

The series is averaging 3 million total viewers, 1.2 million viewers ages 25-54 and 1.1 million viewers ages 18-49 in Nielsen live-plus-three numbers, which cover live viewing plus three days of DVR playback. The current sixth season airs in India on Comedy Central.

The current season focuses on Mike (played by Patrick J. Adams) facing the tough reality of prison life, with his relationship with his fiancée Rachel (played by Meghan Markle), and the future of Pearson Specter Litt hanging in the balance. It also stars Gabriel Macht, Gina Torres, Sarah Rafferty and Rick Hoffman.
