Crash-landing of Emirates flight - Air service to Dubai cancelled

Mangaluru, Aug 5: In the light of the crash-landing of an Emirates flight from Thiruvananthapuram at Dubai airport on Wednesday August 3, flights between Dubai and the city stand cancelled for two days, ie August 4 and 5.

Director of the international airport here, J T Radhakrishna, has informed that the flights between these two destinations are expected to resume their regular trips from Saturday onwards. However, a clear picture would emerge only on Friday evening, he added.

    victim of this...landed in sharjah from mlore yesterday and got the luggage late only to be told by ground staff that low priority to dubai diverted flight. not sure why flights were diverted to shj while there is a fully functional second airport in dubai and also abu dhabi.

    Even last Thursday Evening Flight was scheduled to land in Sharjah but without notice it was taken back to Mlore but not landed there, then it moved & landed in Calicut then again taken back to Mlore, very poor Service from Air India Express, Also there is no proper information on their website regarding the reschedule or diversion or such notification until now. No one is Answering their phone calls on emergency scenario. Not Worth Travelling in AIR INDIA.

    Indeed Emirates Air Lines have a very good track record. It is sad that their aircraft crash-landed in Dubai. Inquiries will reveal the actual cause of the accident.
