Mysuru: Mass beef eating fest held to protest Una incident - Cops detain two

Mysuru, Aug 7 (Agencies) : The Karnataka Dalit welfare trust held a beef festival in Mysuru today to protest against the atrocities on Dalits across the country. But the Mysuru police had not given the association permission to conduct the festival. They were only allowed to protest peacefully.

About 15 people belonging to the group gathered near the Town Hall area in Mysuru to participate, while two auto drivers came to the location with beef items. The police who were providing protection, immediately arrested the two before it turned violent.

The Dalit group were expecting nearly 200 people for the beef festival but they were denied permission to hold the beef fest. They were only granted to protest in front of the Town Hall.

Shantaraju from the Karnataka Dalit Welfare Trust had told that they were fighting for their rights, their right to live, eat and live peacefully in the society.

In response to those who tried to disrupt peace, the Mysuru commissioner of police, B Dayananda said that the police will probe the matter and decide on further course of action accordingly.

    Today BJP Govt.bans beef and If there is Govt.by jain community they will also ban fish & eggs.People eats beef because it is cheap poor people can't buy mutton because it is costly.Govt.cannot dictate what we should eat and what not.

    Publicity stunt... Today Dalits/minorities are richer than upper casts. Even when we went for engg admission i didnt had choice for college but my dalit frnd had choice even though he was richer than me and had low marks than me.

    Nithin, Do you eat leaves from trees? Which are freely available with so many varieties. No right, you won't as it's not a human food but of herbivorous animals. Same way for humans, there is a category of choice that certain type of animals can be consumed as food rest are not allowed for various reasons. Pig's and Dogs are not allowed cause they always be at filthy and dirty areas and eat filthy things such as even human excreta which causes more harm to human than benefit. But there are humans on earth who even after knowing it still eat pigs and dogs.
    It's a human choice what to eat and what not to eat. You can only convince your fellow brethren or people from other Religion not to eat beaf if u consider it sacred by providing your authentic justification, but you donot have any rights to dictate or force or tortutre or threaten people of other faith what to eat and what not to eat.

    If something is sacred in one Religion doesn't mean people from other faith should follow it.

    In Islam pig is haraam to consume, it doesn't mean I being a Muslim can dictate or threaten people of other faith to not eat pig, but can convince them with valid justifications. If Its not allowed in their faith too, but still they consume then they are not following the teachings of their Religion and not being faithful to God.

    India is a country to all faith. It is a democratic country where one can practice and follow whichever Religion any needs to. For a particular Religion almost every animal is sacred or God.

    Karnataka police has no guts to catch rapists, criminals & cow thieves. But they are very much expert in catching beef eaters!!!!!

    Beef is not necessarily include cow meat..., unnecessary politics...,

    Our honorable PM Modiji says that "some" people want tension in society in the name of beef. Let us first define what is beef - the million dollar question is.... does it include cow meat....?

    Cow meat is banned but not buffalo meat...,

    Beef is medically known to be one of the incredibly tasty & nutritious (though i can't vouch it as of now, but not ruled out in future) food.

    Hindustan is a Numero Uno in beef export across the "BRAHMANDA".( $4 Billion plus Forex business)

    If i am not mistaken, what is pinching the ruling govt.., & our PM the most..., probably is precious "DALIT VOTES", which is going to purge BJP forever into the oblivion from Hindustan's political scene.
