Bengaluru, Aug 9 (DHNS): Charging that he has met with continued harassment from his superiors, senior KAS officer K Mathai has written to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah seeking his intervention.
In a letter dated August 1, Mathai has written to the chief minister’s office, seeking an interview with Siddaramaiah.
Mathai has been on leave for the past three months, citing medical reasons. He went on leave after he was repatriated to his parent department, Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms (DPAR) on March 17, relieving him of his duties as assistant commissioner (Advertisement) in the BBMP. He was also subsequently transferred to Bagalkot in May.
He has contended that his seniors have been harassing him, especially after he exposed many scams during his stint in the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike and also as Commissioner of Mandya Urban Development Authority (MUDA). Mathai has been transferred 26 times in the past nine years.
According to official sources, the CMO has forwarded Mathai’s letter to Chief Secretary Arvind Jadhav, asking him to resolve the matter. Jadhav, in turn, has forwarded the same to the Urban Development department.
