Mangaluru: Shilpa Cutinha team presents ‘O La Re’, album released

Mangaluru, Aug 9: Global Konkani music award winner Shilpa Cutinha and her team presented a unique show titled ‘O La Re’ at Kalaangann in city during the 176th monthly theatre, on Sunday, August. 7.

 

The show was a musical journey of love, a conglomeration of music, songs, dance and lights. Shilpa Cutinha, Steven Cutinha, Lydwin Cutinha, Zeena Pereira, Prakash D’Souza, Meera Crasta and Rynel Sequeira presented Konkani songs of various composers.

Roshan D’Souza narrated the storyline while Nach Sobhann team enacted and entertained the audience with their outstanding dance performances. The story and concept was visualized by ‘Sangeet Guru’ Joel Pereira and the background visuals were designed by Ivan Pereira.

MLC Ivan D’souza was honoured on the occasion by Mandd Sobhann on being appointed the chief whip of the Legislative Council.

Prior to the show, Shilpa and Steven Cutinha’s debut album ‘O La Re’ produced by Sennon Productions, was released by Vasanthi R. Nayak of Swarashree Kalavedike.

President of Karnataka Konkani sahitya academy Roy Castelino, music composers Nitin Kootungal, Joel Pereira and Roshan D’Souza and Mandd Sobhann Gurkar Eric Ozario and president Louis J Pinto were present on stage.

Shilpa Cutinha, Stephen Cutinha, Lydwin Cutinha, Prakash D’Souza, Roshan D’Souza, Robin Sequeira and Meera Crasta have rendered their voices to this album. Joel Pereira, Irene D’Souza, Lloyd Rego and Richard Alvares have penned the songs and Roshan D’Souza, Joel Pereira and Nithin Kootungal have tuned them.
