'Noshibacho Khell' to hit screens in Mangaluru on Aug 12, Udupi on Aug 19

Mangaluru, Aug 9: The much-awaited mega Konkani movie Konkani 'Noshibacho Khell', produced under the banner of Kanarites Youth Association (KYAM) Films Pvt Ltd, Mumbai, will hit the silver screen in Mangaluru on August 12, said Henry D'Silva, well-known Konkani theatre personality who is also the producer of the new movie. The movie will release in Udupi on August 19.

Addressing media persons here on Tuesday August 9, he said, "Ester Noronha, the multi-faceted Mangalurean sensation who has already completed eight movies, four of them already released, plays a major role in the movie. She is performing the lead role opposite Elton Mascarenhas, who is known to be one of the finest choreographers, having already made a name in 'Nach Baliye', 'Dance India Dance' and other top shows on national television channels. Ranjitha Lewis, a newcomer, is making her debut in the second lead role in the movie. Clenwin D'Souza, a Kalakul-trained actor is performing in the negative role.

"The movie is directed by Harry Fernandes, who has one Hindi and seven Bhojpuri hit movies including an award-winning one, and also has one Marathi movie to his credit. The movie has eight songs composed by Eric Ozarlo, Wilson Olivera, Roshan DSouza, and Gunawant Sen. Shafi Shaikh of Bollywood fame has done the camera work while Sunil Rodrigues of 'Dilwale' fame has directed the stunts of the movie," he said.

Victor Mathias, member of Mandd Sobhann said that the movie will be premiered at Prabhath theatre on August 12 and the bishop of Mangaluru diocese Dr Aloysius Paul D'Souza will inaugurate the programme at 9:15 am. "MLA JR Lobo, MLC Ivan D'Souza along with veteran film director-producer Richard Castelino, and founder of Daijiworld Walter Nandalike will be the guests of the occasion," he said.

"The movie will be released in Udupi on August 19 at Aashirvad theatre and later will be released in different theatres and multiplexes across coastal Karnataka," informed the producer. Bishop of Udupi diocese Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo will bless the occasion on August 19 in the presence of businessman Lancy D'Souza.

Touted as a gamechanger in the Konkani filmdom, particularly because of the accomplished and experienced names that are behind the making of the movie, 'Noshibacho Khell' began its journey in early November 2015 with the muhurat in Udupi. The film was shot in various locations along the coastal Karnataka and also in Mumbai Film City, Andheri, and other places. The film has been produced by the renowed Henry D'Silva, who is familiar to Konkani theatre lovers through his eight stage plays including 'Kazara Uprath', a super hit play, and directed by Harry Fernandes, who has previously produced movies in Bollywood, Marathi and Bhojpuri.
