Mangaluru: ‘Dabak Daba Aisa’ Tulu film collection crosses Rs 50 lac, creates record

Mangaluru, Aug 12: Recently released ‘Dabak Daba Aisa’ Tulu film has written a new record with the collection crossing Rs 50 lacs.

The film has grossed Rs 50, 26,357 in a week with 371 shows in 12 theaters. ‘Chaali Polilu’ was holding the highest grossing Tulu film record with RS 45 lac collection.

“Though the film copies were downloaded and sold by unauthorized people, Tulu film lovers came to the theatres and watched the movie. I thank all the people who made this movie a hit.” Prakash Pandeshwar, the director and producer of the movie.

Naveen Padil‘s performance has won the hearts of viewers. His acting, especially after he was beaten up by people and police, is of high standard, say the viewers.

After 'Chaali Polilu', Devdas Kapikad, Navin D Padil, Arvind Bolar, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, and Sundara Rai Mandara are together on the screen. Sheetal has made her debut as heroine. Dr Hansraj Alva and journalist Manohar Prasad have made guest appearances.

Laxman Kumar Malluru, Surendra Bantwal, Girish Shetty Kateelu, Sudhir Raj Urva, Sarojini Shetty, Umesh Mijar, Prasanna Shetty Bailur, Sathish Bandale, Ravi Suratkal, Shobha Shakthinagar, Sujatha Shakthinagar, Prashanth Konchadi, Sadashivadas, Mohan Koppala, Pushparaj Shetty Kudumburu, Manohar Shetty Surathkal, Yashwanth Shetty Krishnapura, Chetak Poojary, Vinod, Somu Jogatte, Chandrahas Kadri, P B Harish Rai, Naresh Kumar Sasihitlu, Shashidhara Bellayar, Sunil Krishnapura, Pravin Neermarga, Ravindra Shetty Kutthetthooru, Vinay Krishna, Brajesh Garodi, Rajesh Shetty and others are in the film.

Madhu Suratkal is the technical director and Shashiraj Kavooru is the creative director. Ramdas Sasihitlu and Kishore Moodbidri are the assistant directors.

The film has been produced at a cost of Rs 60 lac and shot at a stretch for 21 days in Suratkal, Bondel and Shakthinagar.
