Mangalore: '1940s Nostalgia Reunion' at St Aloysius College

Mangalore, Dec 2: The occasion helps senior citizens to recall and cherish their old memories. Every one converged on the occasion would enjoy the moments remembering those who left indelible impression in their life, Francis Serrao, rector, St Aloysius Institutions, said.
 
He was addressing the gathering at '1940s Nostalgia Reunion', organized by Mangalorean Catholic Community, held at  St Aloysius College Auditorium, here on Sunday, December 2. 

The recalling innocent mischief committed during student life will necessarily elates one. This is also hoped that the nostalgic reunion would provide a platform where the senior citizens share the saga of their achievements and satisfaction with their acquaintances. The occasion has another advantage, that is, the younger generation would get inspired by the way in which their elders lived, he added.
 
"We have distinguished the Mangloreans all over the globe, whereby Mangalore got the excellent representation. The occasion is primarily a platform to provide channels to those excellent representatives. This is an effort that has to be continued," Michael Saldanha, president, CASK, said in his presidential address.
 

Nature's Beauty and Bounty, Silver Themes and Golden Thoughts and From the Sublime to the divine, authored by Lindsay Rego, IG of Forests, were released by Dion Fernandes, entrepreneur from Mumbai, at the same occasion. Since author Lindsay Rego was not present, his elder daughter Elaine Fernandes (Editor, women Vision, www.daijiworld.com ) present on the dias.
 
Marian Kamath and Mohan Prabhu, an Alumnus of 1947 SSLC batch and Dion Fernandes spoke on the occasion.   
 

Dr Michael Lobo, convener, organizing committee, introduced distinguished visitors. Joe Gonsalves, chairman; organizing committee, delivered the welcome address and Neil D`Souza proposed the vote of thanks.
