Mangaluru, Aug 16: First time in the history of Konkani film industry, a movie is attracting a crowd in big groups to the theatre in the city. 'Noshibacho Khell', already rated as the finest Konkani movie ever produced in terms of quality and entertainment, has received tremendous support from the people from all walks of life. The extended weekend on account of Independent day has seen unprecedented crowd rush at Prabhath theatre near Kodialbail.
It was like festival mood in around the theatre, as people were seen wishing each other and appreciating the Konkani’s first blockbuster movie.
Henry D'Silva, the producer of the movie said "It is an unbelievable response from the people, especially during the weekends. I am getting calls from all corners for booking the tickets in bulk. Our movie stars who were present during the show were mobbed by the crowd for photographs, selfies and shake-hands. I had seen this only in other languages. But now I am experiencing this for the first time in Konkani. May this trend continue for every upcoming new movie."
"Normally, in Konkani movies, the actors wait outside the theatre after the show expecting people to come and wish them, but hardly people come to wish them openly. This movie has created a new trend, a very good development for Konkani." says a Konkani movie analyst who said that he watched the movie three times
"Who said people are not coming for Konkani movies to theatres? Look at this movie, almost every show is going houseful, and people are coming even from far. The movie has good message along with high class cinematic and technical perfection. The movie will be released in Big Cinemas at Bharath Mall from coming Friday" said Prem, a production assistant of the movie.
