Mangaluru, Aug 17: Youth social service charitable trust, Bejai celebrated Independence Day on August 15 together with students of Lourdes High School and St Francis Xavier Primary School, Bejai.






Fr Wilson D'Souza, parish priest of Bejai Church presided over the programme. Navin Cardoza, managing director of Marian Projects Private Limited, here was the chief guest.

Corporator Prakash, Stany Vas, Connie Saldanha, corporator Lancelot Pinto, Benet D'Mello and Denzil Rego were present. Children who secured highest marks in 7th and 10th standard were honored on the occasion. Traffic police constable Babu Shetty, ambulance owner Gangadhar and Rupith were felicitated.

Manu Bantwal compered the programme.
