Social media, streaming platforms know no border: Independent pop artist

New Delhi, Aug 19 (IANS): Independent pop artist Vardaan Arora says that social media and streaming platforms like YouTube and Spotify know no borders, making the outreach more global for budding artists.

Arora, who released his single 'Feel good song' on YouTube last month, says that the meaning behind the song is very personal to him.

"Music is a huge mood shifter for me. And I wanted 'Feel Good Song' to be that to whoever listened to it. Yes, it's light and fun but the meaning behind it is very personal to me.

"I want people to feel good while listening to it, on their own terms. I didn't want the lyrics to dictate how people should get to their happy place, and I think that's reflected in the song,” Arora told IANS.

“Now more than ever, with social media and streaming platforms like YouTube and Spotify, potential outreach for up and coming artists is very global. It knows no borders, and that's what I love about it,” he added.
