Documentary on Steve Aoki 'I'll Sleep When I'm Dead' released

Los Angeles, Aug 20 (IANS): “I'll Sleep When I'm Dead”, a documentary which chronicles the busy life of DJ and music producer Steve Aoki, has been made available online.

On Friday, the film was made available for viewing worldwide via American on-demand streaming website Netflix, reports billboard.com.

Justin Krook directed the documentary while David Gelb has co-produced it with Matthew Weaver, Happy Walters and Matt Colon.

The film, which shows Aoki as both a superstar on stage and a family man at home in Japan, was three years in the making and was filmed during the production of Aoki's well received Neon Future.

While “I'll Sleep When I'm Dead” follows the roller-coaster of his career, it also offers an insight into the loving yet rocky relationship he has with his father, founder of the restaurant chain Benihana.

The story comes full circle with interviews from family members as well as industry insiders and DJs such as Diplo, Tiesto, Will.i.am, and many more.
