Somavarpet, Aug 22: "Equality will be meaningful only when the birth anniversary of Brahmashree, the symbol of hope for the downtrodden in society is celebrated on government level," said Narayanaguru Seva
Samithi president N D Krishnappa. Presiding over the 160th birth anniversary celebrations of Narayanaguru he said that the association started in the name of Narayanaguru is becoming strong.


Committee women's wing president Baby Chandrahas said that the backward class community were socially boycotted in Kerala and other places. “They were not allowed to wear enough clothes to cover themselves.
Brahmashree provided justice to them without violence,” she said.

Committee vice president B A Bhasker said that the government has remembered those who fought for equality by commemorating the birth anniversary of Brahmashree Narayanaguru with late chief minister D
Devraj Urs.

The committee has condemned the murder of auto driver Praveen Poojary at Guddehosooru and urged the government for compensation. Vasu Poojary conducted pooja. The committee and women's wing office bearers participated.
