Beltangady, Aug 23: In an incident which occurred at Pilya within the limits of Venoor police station in the taluk on Monday August 22, a person hanged himself at his home from the beams of the roof.

The victim happened to be Ramesh Poojary (35), son of Madenkila Poojary from Kempanabettu in Kudyavdi village, Pilya.

It is said that Ramesh was a liquor addict. He was frustrated by multifarious problems arising out of this addiction. It is said that he hanged himself when no one was around. The deceased has left behind wife and a son.

On the basis of complaint filed by Lingappa Bangera, brother of the deceased, a case stands registered in Venoor police station.
