Bahrain: Workers Escape Al-Jazira Blaze

Manama, Dec 7: Fire ripped through a supermarket warehouse early yesterday causing damage worth hundreds of thousands of dinars. The blaze broke out at around 2.30am in a staff accommodation above the Al Jazira Supermarket, in Janusan, on the Budaiya Highway. It spread to the warehouse and destroyed perishable items and goods worth an estimated BD200,000.


A security guard required hospital treatment after smoke inhalation, but nobody else was injured.
