Rarely we get such honest persons nowadays. Why grudge. Award should have been at least ten thousand as the money found is Rs.5 lakhs which is very huge.

    Congratulations to Mr. Pratap Shetty.

Besides being from the clan of warriors you have proved to be one from the clan of sincerity, humility and humanity.

    God bless your family abundantly.

It was years back in 1992 on the wedding day of younger sister, my uncles were carrying her personal suitcase with them in an auto rickshaw from Kalina, Santacruz to Sion for the reception.
At the particular destination due to very heavy traffic my uncles forgot to take the suitcase with them after they alighted from the auto.
The auto was out of their sight within a fraction of second. The driver did not know that my uncles were on their way for wedding reception and by the time my uncles realized what had happened and returned to the spot where they had alighted there wasn't the trace of the auto driver.
Later after midnight, around 2.00 a.m. two police men reached our residence to inform that an auto driver had deposited one suitcase with the Ghatkoper police and the police contacted the Kalina Police to inform us about the same. Since my sister had the address book (Those days probably there were no mobiles) it was handy for the police to trace us.
My younger brother went to Ghatkoper Police Station and got the suitcase after giving a few details of the contents in the suitcase.
Great are these hard working and sweating true Indian heroes.
This is called Heaven on Earth.

This auto driver has learnt that HONESTY IS THE BEST POLICY and this is what he did. My hats off to Mr. Pratap Shetty for your honesty. Good gesture by Police Commissioner Chandra Sekhar for the reward of Rs.5000 given to the auto driver on behalf of Mangaluru Police. God bless Pratap and his family.

It is so surprising that neither Deepti nor Prashanth took any trouble even to give a small reward to Mr. Shetty..!!

It is extremely nice of The Commissioner of Police Mr. Chandrashekar to reward the honest auto driver with Rs.5,000/
However Ms. Deepthi could also have expressed her appreciation in tangible terms by rewarding Prataps Reddy with a substantial amount of not Rs.5,000/- but Fifty thousand.
