M'luru: Masood College Of Nursing conducts workshop on 'Nurse: Virtue'

Mangaluru, Aug 26: On Tuesday August 23, Masood College Of Nursing in collaboration with Indiana Hospital conducted a workshop on 'Nurse: Virtue' at Indiana Hospital and Heart Institute, Mangaluru.












The participants of the workshop included staff and students of various hospitals and colleges from in and around the city.

The main aim of the workshop was to boost the knowledge and skills among nurses and other hospital faculty.

The workshop was formally inaugurated by Dr Ali Kumble (chairman) and Dr Yusuf A Kumble (managing director), Indiana Hospital and Heart Institute, chief guest and guest of honour respectively along with Dr Mohammed Arif Masood (secretary, Masood Educational & Charitable Trust), Dr Veena Gretta Tauro (principal), Vijetha (assistant professor) and Yogitha (faculty organising secretary), Masood College Of Nursing.

Dr Veena Gretta Tauro (principal, Masood College Of Nursing) welcomed the gathering and also conducted the first session on soft skills. It was followed by a session on time management by Caroline Pais (life skills trainer).

After a brief lunch break, the afternoon session began with a talk on 'Decision making' by Dheerendra Jain (assistant professor, Alva's College Of Nursing, provisional national trainer, JCI, India) followed by a session on 'Communication' by Sr Aileen Mathias (chief nursing officer, Father Muller Charitable Hospital).

The workshop successfully came to a close with the valedictory function, which included a report of the day by Annet Vas (assistant lecturer) and a valedictory speech by Lydia Cutinha (assistant lecturer, Masood college of Nursing). The chief guest Keshav Das (CEO, Indiana Hospital and Heart Institute) addressed the gathering and congratulated them.

The programme committee consisting of staff and students of Masood College of Nursing ensured the workshop was a successful one.
