SARCO emerge victorious at OCP Corporate Cup Tennis Ball Tournament

Oman, Aug 26: SARCO Cricket team won the 2nd edition of OCP Corporate Cup Tennis Ball Tournament organized by HCC and sponsored by Oman Concrete Product (OCP), co-sponsored by Trust Contracting LLC and Ramaniklal Kottary.





















A total of 9 teams participated in the tournament. The particpants were as follows: Bhawan Engineering Company, Al Turki, Spinneys, Al Khaleel, Ibn Sina Pharmacy, Oasis Trading, SARCO, Power Tech, National Gas.

SARCO defeated BEC by 20 runs in the final match on Friday August 19 at HCC ground Wadi Adai. The final match was played between SARCO and BEC. SARCO won the toss and elected to bat first. SARCO scored 78 runs for 5 wickets in the 6 overs match. In response, BEC scored 58 runs and BEC lost the final match. Pradeep Salian from SARCO was declared man of the match in the finals.

Prize distribution was held after the final match by Shankar Shetty, senior manager for marketing and sales from OCP and Erappa, finance manager of OCP. President of Holiday Cricket Club, Firoz Mohan welcomed the gathering; Parvindar Singh proposed the vote of thanks.

Nithin Hegde from BEC (Bhawan Eng Company) was declared man of the series. Girish Thingalaya from SARCO was declared best batsman of the tournament and Jitesh Poojary from SARCO was best bowler of the tournament.

Akshat Diveen coordinated the tournament with the help of Ameer, Santosh, Binu, Praveen Achari, Harish Shetty, Imran Manna.
