Mangaluru, Aug 26: “We know that people of Mangaluru are good. They are known for hospitality of guests. When there are good people, we cannot predict a few who resort to such things,” said home minister Dr G Parameshwar while referring to protests over actor turned politician Ramya’s statement.

Karnataka state home minister was addressing media persons at Police commissioner office prior to police review meeting here on Friday August 26.

“In state, Mangaluru has a good name. Moreover I always saw Mangaluru as the second city alternative to Bangalore. These types of incidents do not suit Mangaluru,” he further said.

When asked how KPCC president allowed Ramya to come to Mangaluru when situation was tensed, minister said, “Party leaders were not aware that her statement could take such turn. Usually people in public life get threatening note to avoid such comments so that these things could be avoided.”

Replying to an allegation that police department has destroyed evidence in Bhaskar Shetty's murder case, minister said, “The case has been handed over to CID. Let the truth come out. As you said that if police department was involved in any such kind of things, CID will find out.”

Speaking about MK Ganapati issue, he said, “We cannot say anything officially until the report comes out.”

Speaking about the recent protests on transfer of teachers, minister said, “A boy texted me about the transfer of four teachers from his school and requested me to look into the matter. After reading his message, I immediately brought this issue to the notice of Primary and Secondary Education minister Tanveer Sait and asked him to consider this case as special case. I also asked him to reconsider the transfer. The boy had told me that if the problem is not solved he will not go to school,” said minister Dr G Parameshwar.

On increasing cow vigilantes in coastal area and on the question of state bringing amendments to stop illegal cattle trafficking, he said, “Let the law take its own course. Nobody can break law. This is a larger issue which is affecting the whole nation. If the union government makes a move on this, it will be good.”

Speaking about increasing number of youths from coastal area joining ISIS, he said, “We are closely watching the development. Internal Security Division is working on this. If we come to know that any organizations are recruiting youths for banned ISIS, we will take suitable actions.”

Police commissioner Chandrasekar, IGP Western Range Arun Chakravarthi, Dakshina Kannada SP Bushan Gulabrao Borse and others were present.

Mangaloreans were known for hospitality was past history systematically fading away.
Taken over by fanatics of throwing eggs and stones!
For food industry pioneers, tourism and hospitality would have really complimented and multiplied business.
However before bad fortune strikes, character of a person is gets corrupted.

THIS HOME MINISTER DOES NOT KNOW WHAT HE TALKS. HE QUESTIONS THE AUTHORITY OF KPCC PRESIDENT TO CALL RAMYA TO MANGALORE FOR HER COMMENTS WHICH HE HIMSELF COULD NOT DIGEST.
ON THE OTHER HAND HE FEELS THERE IS LACK OF HOSPITALITY FOR HER.
LET HIM BE CLEAR AND BE OPEN HEART BECAUSE EARLIER EX HOME MINISTER WAS FAVORABLE TO CRIMINALS TO THE EXTENT OF NOT TO BOOK MINORITY CRIMINALS AND REDUCED THE STRENGTH TO 44 IN THE LOKASABHA.
MANGALOREANS DO NOT LIKE DEVIDING VOTERS ON COMMUNITY AND WISE ENOUGH TO GIVE PROPER REPLY TO SUCH GUYS.
LEARN FROM MODI "SAB KE SAATH SAB KA VIKAS" THIS IS NATIONALISM NOT PRAISING PAKISTHAN FOR VOTE BANK.

Yes, Mangalore is a Hell. It was once upon a time a Heaven. It is Hell as of now due to the Communal Clashes and Hindutva backed religious blindness. Take Ramya's statement as a Challenge and overcome the Sick propagandas which destroys the peace and harmony of the Mangalore and Country enlarge. Stop Beef and Cow and wars. Ramya will surely say it again as "Mangalore is a Heaven".
