Dubai: Family Fiesta Turns into Spectacular Jamboree

Dubai, Dec 7: They said it and they have done it! It was a typical Mangalore Konkans’ event in Dubai which led spectacular gathering with over 1400 participants from across UAE. It was a colorful day in terms of dress as well as faces
The event filled with full of glamour and entertainment. It was a right place and right choice to spend a memorable weekend after the stressful week in the emirates.
The much awaited 'Family Fiesta' started with carol singing followed by Konkani hit numbers by Brass band as warm-up session and back-to-back warm-up session by PH&-Band, regarded as one of the vibrant band group in the UAE
Errol Goveas, a compere of excellence mesmerized the crowd along with young, charismatic and dynamic girl, Vanessa Peris who just returned from Australia after completing her studies. Both comperers enliven the event with their vocabulary skills
It was fun filled day for children, as the kids found spacious play ground to exhibit their playing skills besides it was indeed a spectacular scene to see them full of color in their faces.
The PH-7 troupe left no stones unturned to entertain the couples on the floor as large number of participants danced to the tune of melodious PH-7 music.
To add more glamour to the event, Reanne Rodrigues who has recently qualified for the Miss India 2007 Contest has been felicitated by the Mangalore Konkans and wished her all the best.
The sponsors of the event were accorded due honour for their support; as for the first time, Dubai crowd has witnessed perfect salute to the sponsors for their contribution to the society especially to the needy, by Mangalore Konkans’ in Dubai.
James Mendonca, dynamic president of Mangalore Konkans’ in his presidential address, thanked the sponsors and every one who extended their support for the success of this mega event, in the emirates. The superb coordination of his team members and hardwork deserves to be applauded.
Yet another highlight of the event was spectacular Christmas tableau with Christmas carols. Santa has arrived well in advance in this Christmas season to entertain the crowd and distribute gifts to the children.
The event concluded on a high note with non-stop ‘Baila’ music and dance.
At the end of the day, it was another successful event organized by the most successful organization in the region, Mangalore Konkans’ Dubai. The professional approach towards organizing this event and discipline has won the hearts of participants
