Mangaluru: 8 persons arrested for hurling eggs, stones at Ramya

Mangaluru, Aug 28: Police, on Saturday August 27, arrested 8 persons for hurling eggs and stones at actor turned politician Ramya in city.

Some protestors had hurled eggs at the car in which Ramya travelled to city from airport on Thursday August 25 at Kenjaru. Before that, some other protestors had demonstrated black flags at the airport and even hurled abuses at the police personnel. Later in the evening some persons had thrown eggs, tomatoes, stones and chappals at the stage where Ramya was sitting during a musical nite organised by Kadri Cricketers’ Club.

Sandeep Pumpwell, Prashanth, Sujith, Bharat, Subhash Padil, Hemachandra, Ranjith and Pradeep are the arrested persons. They have been booked for offences they have allegedly committed against Ramya when she was in city.

Kadri police made the arrested and they are investigating the cases.

    @NM- our PM knows very that it is not worth visiting Pak by wasting 1 day separately. It requires two take offs and two touch downs.
    By visiting on his way he has saved 1 take off and 1 touch down.

    For the rest of the world we have to show that we are good friends.

    I agree unique id is good but how far it is verified with each citizen now questionable.?

    It is purely technical thing. Suppose you visit railway station then your adharcard should verified in two seconds in one swipe. Is it possible? If your adhar card is verified then only you should be allowed to enter.

    Facts are facts !
    What so ever, Mangalore (nama Kudla) was not like this during forgone years of 60's - 80's.
    There were eve teasers, girls chasers and party makers. But Zero moral policing.
    For bad people every thing looks in a good form.
    Mangalore/an is not the same what used be few decades ago. I would not say Naraka because I have live in my native place once I retire.

    Dr. MMS had a clear plan, strategy when it came to handling pak...he never went to pak but at the same time managed to restore normalcy in J&K and put them is their rightful place.

    There was nothing wrong on comment made by Actress. She just expressed the Hospitality of Pakistan, every Individual in Pakistan is not our enemy. As she said they are just like us, even I'm working gulf region and here we have different nationality including Pakistanis they too are wonderful humans...
