Mangaluru, Aug 29: The Muhurtha of ‘Choliye Chotrai’ a Konkani play written by Clarence Pinto, Padil to be staged on the occasion of the 73rd anniversary of the Konkani Natak Sabha (R) was held on Sunday August 28 at Don Bosco Hall, here.

Alwyn Pinto, president of Mangalore Konkans, Dubai was the chief guest. The guest and Fr Maxim Nazareth, Capuchin on behalf of president of KNS lit the lamp and sought divine intervention for the success of the play.

Alwyn Pinto handed over the script to writer and director Clarence Pinto, Padil. The theme of the play was later narrated by Clarence Pinto, Padil and the roles were distributed to the artistes. It was informed that the drama will be played on October 9 at 5.30 pm at Don Bosco Hall on the occasion of the 73rd anniversary of Konkani Natak Sabha.

On behalf of the president Fr Maxim Nazareth rendered a prayer service and wished success to all the artistes.

Assistant director Adolphus Cutinha (Dolla), vice-president Prem Lobo, joint secretary Judi D’Souza, treasurer Jerry Concessao, actor Dolphy Saldanha among others were also present.

Vice president Prem Lobo welcomed the gathering. Joint secretary Judi D’Souza proposed the vote of thanks and Raymond D’Cunha compered the programme.
