Udupi: Madhwaraj launches tourist website ‘Heaven of Karnataka’

Udupi, Aug 29: District-in-charge minister Pramod Madhwaraj launched new website on travel guide ‘Heavens of Karnataka’ designed by few local enthusiast youngsters at Udupi press club here on Monday August 29.

After launching the website, minister Madhwaraj said, “Tourism is the future of district. There is a vast scope for tourism in coming days. Most of the people give first priority to tourism and are interested in investing in it.”

“As minister of youths in state, I will provide all required support in enhancing tourism in district. There are hundreds of tourist places in Karnataka. Tourists need authentic information about these places,” he said.

Avinash Kamath, a member, addressing the press meet said, “This is the first private and professionally designed tourism website in the state. We provide information of more than 100 different tourist places in the website along with map, history of the place and its importance and including local tourist destination.”

“As youths, we intend to take up the coast to the global level. We have spent two years to complete this project. We have also planned to develop this website in future. The design is made considering four divisions such as Mysuru, Bengaluru, Mangaluru and Udupi.”

Shashikant Shetty, Avinash Kamath, Tilak Raj, Diwakar  Hiriyadka, Rashmi Jennifer, Ashwini Jain, Gururaj B, Viraj Kaup and Nithesh Rao put their hard work in designing this website.

The website is open for public use. It can be accessed by all electronic devices.
