Bengaluru: Former minister receives threat from Udupi man for cow remarks

Daijiworld Media Network-Bengaluru (RJP)

Bengaluru, Aug 30: A man from Udupi has written a threat letter to former minister and writer B T Lalitha Naik, it is gathered.

“I received the letter from a person named Sunil Sharma from Udupi, a week ago. He says people like me should be killed for my observations on cow slaughter,” Naik said.

As per details, Naik had attended an event about 20 days ago in Chikkamagaluru where she had opposed the attack on Dalits for skinning a dead cow.

“Sharma has written that people like me should be killed instead of cows. Expletives have been used against me in the letter." she said.

Naik has not lodged any police complaint yet. She had only talked about this matter with some fellow writers. They advised her to lodge a complaint with the police.

“I will lodge a complaint at the Sanjaynagar police station on behalf of Dr Kalburgi, Pansare, Dabholkar Hatya Virodhi Horata Samithi on Wednesday once I return to Bengaluru. I will also produce the letter before the police.” she added.

She is in Dharwad to take part in a protest on Tuesday against the killing of progressive thinkers M M Kalburgi, Govind Pansare and Narendra Dabholkar.

A famous progressive writer, Naik served as minister for Kannada and Culture in J H Patel Cabinet.

Sir in fact cow ban must bind only the Hindus not other religious people and i think it is against the fundamental right of individual, as to what to eat and what not to eat, how the state governments were allowed to enact such laws of banning cows meat?

Pink boom from India’s buffalo meat exports at current rates could impact domestic milk availability over the next decade, says a recent report by the US Department of Agriculture .
A country where cows are sacred is exporting a record amount of red meat.
The $4.8 billion annual export trade has almost developed by accident.
This fake 'Go Rakshak' wants to claim every share of the 'Pink revolution'.
Father of IAF Akhlaq,Praveen Poojary or Naik no one will be spared who pose interference in their business.

No wonder if they might take the call of PM Modi and passing the blame on minorities for political benefit.

For publicity, one has to watch\hear BJP Ministers, VHP, other RW uselss splinter groups when they open their mouth wide which is almost every day now-a-days. They are famous for mouthing non-related matter as they have absolutely no understanding of the portfolio they hold and the work they should do.

Selfies\publicity stunts\killing humans to protect cows is all they know.
And How India Can Progress with these kind of leaders in the present Government?

It is not just Dalit, killing any human being is not right.
Please talk about usefulness of cow milk for growing children, cow dung and cow urine as compost or organic manure for plants and vegitables. Also talk about importance of cow in dairy farming. Talk about cow protection and need of government agencies to strengthen laws on that.

Along with cow meat, so rich in proteins. As Udit Raj, BJP MP rightly said, coupled with this cheap protein Indian poor can excel in sports and hard labour. He was giving the example of Usain Bolt, who won 9 medals in Olympics. No doubt, hard work, practice, guidance and ability play an very important role in gaining success.
