Mangaluru, Aug 30: A traffic police showed his honesty by handing over the money found on road to police which was eventually delivered to the rightful owner.

Kishan Kumar, a sales representative of Coca Cola Company, was going to bank on Monday morning to deposit money in the bank. When he reached Lalbhag, the money wrapped with bank slip fell from his pocket. The traffic police Suresh, on duty at the spot, saw it and picked the money. But by then Kishan Kumar had moved away from the place.

Suresh immediately took the money to Bunder police station and informed the police there. As no ways they could find the rider, the information was given to media.

Kishan Kumar, who saw the information today in newspapers, went to Bunder police station and collected the money from police.

The amount involved was Rs 23,250.

City police commissioner Chandra Shekar rewarded Suresh, originally from Belgaum, for his honesty with a gift of Rs 1000.
