Udupi: Human rights to demand CBI probe in Bhaskar Shetty case?

Daijiworld Media Network – Udupi (EP)

Udupi, Aug 30: “I have full faith in CID investigations on the murder of businessman Bhaskar Shetty. I believe that the investigations are progressing without external pressure. If CID investigations do not provide justice, CBI investigation will be urged through persuasion to union minister Sushma Swaraj”, said international human rights organization women’s wing president Geetha Bhaskar Shetty Pune.

She was speaking to reporters after visiting the house of K Bhaskar Shetty situated at Katpadi and gathering details about the incident from Bhaskar Shetty’s mother Gulabi Shetty on Monday, August 29.

“Discussions were held with the family regarding the next step in the case. There are allegations that the suspect is being protected. If necessary, the human rights organization will help Bhaskar Shetty’s family to lodge a complaint in the high court in this respect. Punishing the guilty is our intention”, she said.

“People are speaking different versions every day regarding disappearance of Bhaskar Shetty, murder, arrest of suspects and investigation in the incident. The incident has made the society to bow its head. We have arrived here after receiving complaint by national human rights state president Rohith Kumar Kateel. We will be handing over the details of the way the case is progressing and the details of investigations to national president of human rights. He too is likely to come here if necessary and collect details”, said Geetha B Shetty.

'Statements that change the course of investigations'

“The mother of Rajeshwari has said to the reporters that her daughter Rajeshwari was being harassed by Bhaskar Shetty. “He had illicit relationship with another woman in Dubai. His character was not good”. If Bhaskar Shetty had harassed, Rajeshwari could complain about it to Police. Saying that she and her son have killed him for self-defence after spraying Pepper powder is an attempt to change the course of case”, said Geetha Shetty.

State president of the organization, Rohith Kumar Kateel, district president Udaya Kumar Shetty Inna, Samajarathna K Liladhar Shetty, Bantara Sangha president Kurkalu Dinakar Shetty, Karnataka Rajya Vedike district president Santhosh Shetty Panjimaru and others were present.

I guess this so called "International Human rights organization” just formed for Bhaskar Shettys murder case, ,Otherwice why should one haven't find their name during Dadri lynching or Hyderbad Vemula case or during human rights violation in Kashmir
They should focus widely on human rights violation in the mass like caste/social based decriminalization for Dalits or poor people rather than doing family or caste business.
