Udupi: Praveen murder suspects given judicial custody till Sept 15

Udupi, Aug 31: The suspects in the murder of Praveen Poojary were remanded to judicial custody till September 15.

21 accused in the case were produced in the court here on Wednesday, August 31 and the judicial custodies of all of them were extended.

It is said that only one accused had moved for bail application, which the court rejected.

All the accused are housed presently in Hiriadka jail.


Praveen Poojary

The murder had taken place on August 17 by alleged VHP and Bajrang Dal activists. They had killed Praveen brutally for transporting four calves in his tempo.

    Initially it was reported 36 criminals were involved... Only 21 are in custody,,, what about the remaining 15 ....

    We are talking about freedom fighters vs politics and at the present rate there would be another freedom Majority vs. minority. Now Indians are dominated by Right-wing values and ruled by thugs taking the law in their hands and killing others on Cow sentiments and the Central government is silent on Cow issue. Let them be precise and make things clear or else, things may go out of control because of Sangh parivar ideology. Ultimately common man is suffering.
    Ban Beef and stop export by constitutional amendment to the existing law and save both Cows and humans.
    Government should be strong and act decisively and not by balancing either side.

    I thought that jail was for good people (Ref. Nelson mandela, MK Gandhi et al) and freedom to roam around was for criminals.

    Anyone can shed light on my theory?

    On this issue.. very soon the arrested accused will be out on bail thanks to RSS, Sangh et al
