High crime: Bengaluru third most unsafe metro city in India

Daijiworld Media Network- Bengaluru (RJP)

Bengaluru, Sep 1: Bengaluru is in third place among the most unsafe metro cities in India.

As per the data from the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), a total of 35,576 FIRs were registered in Bengaluru, while 1.73 lac incidents were reported in Delhi and 42,940 in Mumbai in 2015. As many as 23,990 FIRs were registered in Kolkata and 16,965 in Hyderabad.

Though Bengaluru stands third in total number of crimes, the IT capital topped the list of cities with most cyber crime cases and dowry-related cases. Delhi, infamous as the rape capital of the country, continues to remain the most unsafe.

The NCRB data shows that Chennai is the safest metro city as 13,422 cases were registered in the capital of Tamil Nadu.
As many as 188 murder, 112 rape and 777 abduction cases were reported in Bengaluru in 2015. Delhi had the highest murder cases at 464, while Patna had 232.

Delhi also reported 6,630 cases of abduction cases, while Mumbai had 1,583.

Bengaluru police say rise in better reporting system is the reason for Bengaluru ranking high. They registered 1,041 cases of cyber crime and 714 dowry-related cases in 2015. 54 dowry-related deaths were also reported in Bengaluru in 2015.

Delhi topped the list of metro cities with the maximum road accident related deaths at 1,339, while 784 people lost their lives in Bengaluru.

another feather on Siddu's cap. What an achievement. As M S Dhoni was always remembered for the last world cup for his winning contribution, I trust here in this case it will be K.J.George will always be remembered by whole Karnataka people for his contribution here. But feather should be on Siddu's cap being the captain of such a worst governance.

This is nothing new. The leadership itself is joke. The law and order system is pathetic. Murderers are never caught. Kaluburgis murderers are yet to be caught... what can you expect. All we can expect is 'bhagyas' and 'jayanthis'.

Likewise, majority of crimes in Mumbai too are committed by outsiders, not by native Mumbaikars. If there was no Bal Thackeray and his Shiv Sena, Mumbai would have been worse than UP – Bihar.

Jeevan, Most of the cases registered are because of Our glorious Indian culture Dowry deaths & Dowry Harassment , the rest is because of the problems caused by the Go rakshaks & the bhaktas , thats all . At least now the cases are registered , But during yeddys time , Crimes were ignored because of the B.J.P govt's & the criminals nexus .

The Credit goes to Mr. Nidreramayya, the great ever sleeping C.M. of Karnataka no control over Law & Order.

Very soon he will break the record of other states if he continues his sleep.

The ttragedy is, some people here happy to compare Mumbai is ahead of Bangalore.

What we can expect from such people of Karnataka.

Instead of worrying how we can control the crime, we are involving party politics here.
