Madikeri: Forester neglects duty, found with girl student inside car

Daijiworld Media Network - Madikeri (SP)

Madikeri, Sep 1: People are increasingly incurring losses because of attacks on plantations and fields by wild elephants. At the same time, there have been allegations of forest being plundered. The forest department, which is expected to provide relief, appears to be in slumber.

In a recent incident, the people found out how a forester was discharging duty during his duty hours. In an incident which occurred at Aravattoklu in Gonikoppal in the district on Monday, the people found that the forester in question, instead of working to stop elephants from destroying people's assets, was having sex with a girl student inside a car at a deserted spot. The people caught hold of him and beat him up.

The man, who belongs to Kutta division of Ponnampet forest range, was found inside a car at a desolate spot with the daughter of the owner of the house where he resides as paying guest. The incident happened at around 11 am on August 29. The incident was thereafter referred to Gonikoppal police station but the police sent the concerned after warning them, as the family of the girl was not willing to file complaint.

It is not known whether the forest officials will take action for dereliction of duty against the forester concerned.

May be the fellow was taking rest,in a different way than others.Tell me frankly, not only foresters but our Govt, officials or Govt workers,do they do their duty being in Office all the time.?At the most out of eight hours hardly 4-5hours of intensive work will be done .I had seen some post officers during their duty time, not at all in Office but visit People ,or life insurance Marketing,or private Business.

Who knows, may be they were just sitting and chatting...curious people got jealous....you never know.

Most of these vigilantes are jealous souls...if they don't get food,,, others should fast too mentality...

Anyway, in modern days people don't take these issues seriously...if this happened before few decades perhaps girl would have suffered much more than the boy...even if its consensual sex, Police have nothing to do with it...

According to statistics, Indian Forest Service is the most corrupt department in the govt job.

Forester is not a high grade job, but, most of them own bungalows.

Forester may be having a lunch break, according to the job circumstances, which he may have used, and there is no complaint from girl side, then what a big deal to take up the case of negligence of duty ?
