Udupi, Sep 3: AICC general secretary and Rajya Sabha member B K Hariprasad ,on Saturday September 3, visited the house of Praveen Poojary of Kenjur who was murdered recently. He consoled the family members and handed over Rs 1 lac as personal help from him.

Speaking to reporters on the occasion, Hariprasad said that the murder of Praveen Poojary was due to political revenge. “It is a matter of grave concern and not good for society. As some people spoil the minds of backward class children for their personal goals, people like Harish from Bantwal, Prashanth Poojary from Moodbidri and Praveen Poojary become victims”, he said.

“I condemn the incident. I have provided help from me. I will urge the chief minister also to provide compensation,” he added.

“VHP and Bajrang Dal activists who support the murder of Praveen Poojary are Hindu Taliban. RSS, VHP, Bajrang Dal and BJP are like octopus. The center of the octopus is RSS, ” he said criticising Hindu organisations.

Asked about Janardhan Poojary’s criticism of government, he said that he did not dare to speak about Poojary.

Responding to a question, Hariprasad said that there is no connection between RSS and the freedom struggle. “Ramya was right when she said that RSS did not participate in freedom struggle. Atal Bihari Vajpayee had signed an affidavit which said that he had not participated in the freedom struggle. RSS and BJP are fake patriots. Those who wear black caps and hold sticks do not become patriots,” he said.

“Those who have strong faith in the Almighty do not create fear and indulge in violence,” Hariprasad added.
