Gangolli police stop illegal cattle transportation, arrest three

Kundapur, Sep 5: Police personnel belonging to Gangolli station in the taluk arrested three men who were illegally transporting cattle in a car. The arrests were made on Sunday September 4.

The arrested accused happen to be Jayez (20), Hyderali (28) and Khader Basha, all three from Gangolli. Police sub-inspector, Subbanna, on getting information that cattle were being transported illegally from Alur to Gangolli, signalled the car in question to stop at Mullikatte Junction. The accused however, drove away without stopping.

The policemen chased the car and tried to intercept at Manki. Two of the car's occupants tried to flee. Policemen chased and arrested them. They found that a cow had been stored inside the car's boot, while a calf was placed on the backseat.

A case about the incident was registered at Gangolli police station.
