    Lot of Hypocrites here.
If it was a hindu invovled, then comments will come regarding RSS/BJP and even modi.
But if it is from another religion, then the comments are rowdyism etc...nothing about any party.
    Grow up guys.

    Shettre,

    I fully, agree with you.
Old timers or those who have made saving in a hard way, know the value of hard earned money.
I too on my earlier vacation times used spend on party making, friends, relatives, neighbors etc. and mostly outside in bar & restaurants.
These days most of my relaxation is limited to within my home and mostly with my close family members. I like company but lose control when few are together. It goes on & on…......

I travel to my birthplace south Kanara at least 4 times in a year and spend some quality time there. I am so pained to see people wasting so much time on CELEBRATIONS. I have never seen a place which celebrates so many functions. People spend the bst part of their time to attend these events. In my childhood I remember working in the rice field before going to school. My self and my brother used to work for minimum two hours and then go to school walking barefeet about 5 kms. My eleders at home used to work for 10 to 12 hours as we had cultivation. I do not see anyone working for even 3 to 4 hours nowadays. People are either wasting money they receive from outside or selling family silver like land etc.

    So true Mr. Shetty.

Upon that, people don't hesitate to blame the government for each and everything that is happening around, done by the very lazy people themselves !

With the arrival of technology, people have forgotten to use their limbs to earn their bread but using them for unwanted activities is quite remembered !

AH Mangalore you seem to have taken offence to my post. It is not my intention to glorify my travel to Mangalore but just to clarify that it is not my one time observation but have seen time and again people wasting time on celebrations. You are entitled not to agree with me but please do not tell me what and what not to write. Best Wishes.

Day by day these moral policing like illegal activities are increasing for which the Police Dept. should take proper action against the nuisance makers and curb such activities. Someone Tom Dick and Harry cant object such celebrations. Let them first inform the police about the Birthday affair if they find any illegal activities are taking place. Assaulting the police is another big crime for which which should be dealt suitably.

Celebration of various occasions is a private decision. However, hindrance to it could be of two types. First is the type happened in Morning Mist some time ago wherein self-styled protectors of culture opposed the event.

The other type is the parents of attendees. Youth today lie to their parents about their location and attend wrong gatherings and engage themselves in drug/alcohol consumption.

For the first type I would say 'mind your own business' but for the second, we should be respectful.

Its too premature to comment because the report is not detailed. Look forward to updates.
