Doha: Hanan Premier League tournament to be held on Sep 12

Doha, Sep 5: Hanan, a premier cricket club from Qatar is all set to conduct its second prestigious HPL-T10- season2. This is a hard tennis ball cricket tournament from September 12 to 15 at Asian Town Cricket stadium in the city.

















A draw ceremony was held at Golden Ocean Hotel, here on September 1 evening. Abdul Khader president of HPL-T10 revealed that this year 12 prestigious teams from UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and India will be participating in this season-2 tournament. After HPL-T10 season-1 and Udupi Premier League (UPL)'s great success, Hanan Cricket Club will now with a great sportive spirit award a total cash prize of QAR 100,000. The winner will be awarded QAR 66,000 cash prize and a big trophy and the runner-up will bag QAR 33,000 cash prize. He also announced that this year a ‘live digital score’ and live streaming will be available on www.hanancricketclub.com.

Babul from Aljamal-Trading, Tulukoota Qatar president Ravi Shetty, Areef chairman of Petromann Industry-Dubai, Hida Foundation chairman Abdulla Monu, Satish from QDC, Golden Trading chairman Asmath Ali, past president of Tulukoota Seetharam Shetty were present on the dais. Hanan club president Abdul Khader, vice president Nasir Manjeshwar and committee member Shakil welcomed the guests with bouquets.

Speaking on the occasion Ravi Shetty applauded Khader and team for their effort in coming out with great tournaments which not only encourages sportive minds in the young generation, but also unites society from different cultural backgrounds.

Areef from UAE said, "It is really an appreciable effort of Hanan team for turning gully cricket into a great sportive platform where poor good players can get opportunities."

Later draw ceremony has been progressed. The team captains and managers took the draw chits. The pool is allotted as follows:

Tufail Mateen compered the event, advisor of HPL-T10 Asmath Ali proposed the vote of thanks. Technical committee member Surendar clarified the tournament rules and regulations. QIFF president Nazir Basha and team managers, captains were present on the occasion.
