Mangaluru, Sep 5: The 16th Inter Parish Dance competition was organized for the parishioners of Mangalore Diocese by the Konkani Natak Sabha® Mangalore at the Don Bosco Hall on Sunday, September 4.
The competition was inaugurated by president Fr Paul Melwyn D’Souza along with office bearers.
The competition was held in three categories i.e. below 10 years, 10 to 15 years and above 15 years in Ladies duet, Gents duet, Mixed group and married couple.
As many as 110 participants in 45 entries from 10 parishes took part in the competition.
In the below-15 year’s category, Anglore parish bagged the first place while Bajjodi parish stood second and Cordel third place.
In the above-15 years category Cordel bagged the first place, Bejai Parish second and Angelore third place.
Sandesh Monteiro, Dickson Machado and Anjali Vas were the judges.
President Fr Paul Melwyn D’Souza welcomed the gathering. Raymond D’Cunha and Dolphy Saldanha compered the programme. Convenor Gretta Rebello introduced the judges. Floyd D’Mello proposed vote of thanks and General Secretary Sunil Menezes announced the results.
