Udupi: Circle police inspector S V Girish shunted out of Manipal

Daijiworld Media Network - Udupi (SP)

Udupi, Sep 7: S V Girish, circle police inspector (CPI) of Manipal station, stands shifted out o Manipal.

It may be recalled that district in-charge minister, Pramod Madhwaraj, had written to the home minister seeking transfer of Girish after the complainants accused Girish of employing delaying tactics in investigating Bhaskar Shetty murder case, and dereliction of duty in preliminary investigation of the case, in open meeting. They also had appealed to the district in-charge minister to take suitable action.

In the meanwhile, district superintendent of police (SP), K T Balakrishna, had ordered an internal departmental inquiry against the inspector, and appointed assistant superintendent of police, Vishnuvardhan, as inquiry officer. Vishnuvardhan had completed inquiry and submitted factual report to the superintendent of police. The report was thereafter forwarded by the SP to inspector general of police.

As per the instructions of the IGP, the SP has affected change of posting of Girish on office duty to the district crime intelligence bureau on temporary basis. In the meanwhile, Sampath Kumar has been posted as circle police inspector of Manipal.

They always back such police officers who may be of "different" ideology and in favour of BD\SRS etc splinter groups. These type of corrupt Police officers who allow crime to thrive which allows them to fill their pockets.
If the news of 2 crores withdrawn by Rajeshwari from her a\c, IT dept. should investigate as such big amount can not be withdrawn and Banks have to inform IT about the withdrawal.

It's looks like he has been slow on collecting evidence. He must be raided and if found guilty must be terminated rather than transferred

this is all hide and seek drama, or kalla police GAME!!!. if any govt. officer or police officer commits mistake the punishment is ONLY JUST TRANSFER?. this is not the right way. arrest them, investigate them and give them more severe punishment than ordinary people.
NO USE OF TELLING OR WRITING COMMENTS. AS LONG AS OUR BULSHIT LAW EXIST NOTHING WILL HAPPEN.

Transfer is just washing hands. Inspector in question will escape from all things by transfer. How one police officer investigate other police officer since they are birds of the same feather.

A mere transfer will only help him to become more corrupt.

Is there any law that stipulates an FIR must be registered, as soon as a complaint is filed at the police station..??

What are the penalties for delaying or denying justice to victims of injustice in India...?

Transferring him to another place will be transferring the problem along with him. Just throw him out of service and cancel all his privileges and perks.

He should arrested and interrogated properly. I am sure he is fully aware of all the facts about Bhaskar Shetty's murder plot. What is the use of transfer. It is not going to help investigation.

Someone should check Girish’s bank account transactions since Bhasker shetty’s murder. It was said that a sum of 2 crore rupees has been withdrawn from culprit Rajeshwari Shetty’s account immediately after she was sent to jail.
