Beltangady: Court instructs police to register case against Ramya

Beltangady, Sep 9: The court here has instructed the police to register case against movie star and former MP, Ramya, in connection with controversial statement she had reportedly issued against Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).

A private complaint was filed in the court by advocate, Vasant Marakada, in the court as the police failed to register complaint after receipt of complaint. The court, which heard the complaint, asked the police to register criminal case against the actress.

After the complainant records statement of the complainant, the defendant will be called to record her statement, for which Ramya will be required to attend the court proceedings.

Reportedly Ramya had blamed RSS of joining hands with the British and also of not taking part in the freedom struggle.

    I not a supporter of Cong or BJP. This lady is tryin to hog the lime light by hook or by crook.What is the necessity of braggin something that is 70 years old. Why not fight for Cauvery or Yettinahole that might even help people, it might even help her win peoples trust. Public are not fools any more to hero worship anyone who goes to jail or is arrested.

Why the help she should comment on Pakistan, Mangalore... this is hell... that's heaven...who killed Gandhi.. if RSS was involved... why the hell she is bothered on these... they are doing just because of the publicity.     @Praveen - Jinna was a native mumbaikar, was a freedom fighter like Nehru.
    Issue with congress was that they did not take Muslim league into confidence. Both parties were hungry for power.
    If both parties would have spoken cordially then there was no separate Pakistan and there would have been only India and China issues.
    Current India and Pakistan are very much different from 1947 India and Pakistans

    Nowadays judiciary admitting silly cases & waste their as well as police department's time in framing the cases.
    Supreme court has clarified about sedition & defamation cases & not to misuse them like this.
    The fact known to most people now cannot be re written by any courts or people belonging to that organizations by these tricks.

    The Senior most freedom fighter now alive in Karnataka is H S Doreswami. He has clearly told last week in a press meet that RSS never participated in Freedom Struggle. He also told that even Savarkar had given an undertaking to British that he will not participate in freedom struggle. Then what is wrong if Ramya repeats what is told by a Kannadiga freedom fighter himself?
