Udupi: Woman pedestrian hit by bike, killed

Udupi, Sep 9: A woman lost her life on Thursday after she was hit by a motor bike on the night of Wednesday September 7. The ill-fated woman, working in a hospital, was walking towards her home after work hours, when she met with an accident near Canara Goods office at Kalsanka here.

The deceased has been identified as Chandravathi from Gundibail in the city. She worked for a private hospital. At around 7.30 pm on Wednesday, she was walking towards Gundibail. When she was crossing the road near Kalsanka, a motor bike that came from the direction of the city bus stand knocked her down.

Chandravathi suffered serious injuries to her head. She was admitted into a private hospital here. She lost her battle for life on Thursday afternoon. A case about the accident was registered in traffic police station here.
