Expert PU College celebrates Teachers' Day, honours Pratap Shetty

Mangaluru, Sep 10: Mangaluru, Sep 10: 'Talk less work more', quoted by professor Narendra L Nayak, chairman, Expert Group of Institutions, on the occasion of Teachers' Day programme on September 8 at Kootakkala auditorium, Kodialbail, here.












The programme was inaugurated by the dignitaries which included professor Narendra L Nayak, chairman, Expert Group of Institutions, Ushaprabha N Nayak, vice chairperson, Expert Group of Institutions, Ustad Rafeeque Khan, trustee, Expert Group of Institutions, principal, Ramachandra Bhat, Ankush N Nayak, an alumni, Expert PU College, Niha Sheikh, cultural coordinator, Expert PU College. This was followed by a floral tribute to Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan.

Pratap Shetty, a responsible and an honest auto driver was felicitated for his extraordinary, exemplary and honest act of returning gold ornaments worth Rs 5,00,000 to his passenger on August 26 which was left behind in his auto rickshaw. The dignitaries did the honors.

Ushaprabha N Nayak, vice chairperson, Expert Group of Institutions, spoke about how important a teacher's role plays in moulding a student's life.

Ustad Rafeeque Khan, trustee, Expert Group of Institutions, encouraged the students to do something great as to make their teachers proud.

The programme included the inauguration of the science club and swara yathra. Various and extraordinary cultural activities by the teachers were followed.
