Moodbidri, Sep 11: A woman residing at Kesargadde here with her husband and children since the last eight years, identified as Shantha Acharya (43), wife of Satish Acharya, committed suicide on Saturday September 10 when no one was around.
Shantha was born and brought up at Balehonnur in Chikkamagaluru district. For reasons unknown, she ended her life when she was alone.
Satish Acharya was on a visit to Madikeri on some work since the last three days. Both the children of Shantha were away at school when the incident happened, it is learnt. The incident came to light when Shantha's on came home from school.
A report about the incident was filed in the police station here. The police have begun an investigation into the incident.
