Mangaluru: Nehru Maidan Ganeshotsava ends with colourful function, procession

Mangaluru, Sep 12: The immersion procession of the idol of Lord Ganesha worshipped at Nehru Maidan, was held on Sunday, September 11.

The procession was part of the Sarvajanika Ganeshotsava programme organized by celebration committee to mark this year's Ganesha Chaturthi. Hindu Yuva Sene has been organising this event for the past 24 years. 


The procession was followed by a huge number of devotees and passed through the main roads of the city before the immersion at the Mahammai Kere near Car Street.

Nehru Maidan Ganeshotsava is one biggest and most colourful events in the city.

This year's cultural programme on the last day of Ganeshotsava had the presence of many cine stars and celebrities including Pooja Gandhi.
