Mangaluru: I speak out for ensuring survival of party - Janardhana Poojary

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP)

Mangaluru, Sep 13: "I have never spoken against the party. I have been speaking out openly for ensuring that the party survives. I have carried on struggles even in the past on behalf of the people, and my pro-people attitude will stay. I have never been alone, and six crore Kannadigas are on my side," said former union minister, B Janardhana Poojary, addressing media here on Monday September 12.

Poojary said that when he was union minister of state for finance, he had introduced Loan Melas in spite of tough opposition from almost all the states. He said he continues own rigid stands based on principles even now.

"I will give fitting reply to complaint made by Digvijay Singh to Congress high command. I believe that for Congress high command, people are important, not in-charge leaders. I also am of the opinion that the high command will not show the dumbness to blindly believe what a state party in-charge claims," he said.

About the proposed notice, he said he is waiting for such a notice, and that he is eager to give a befitting reply. "I have always worked and spoken for the good of the people. If I am found guilty of that and punished, I am prepared to face it," he stated. He pointed out that Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee president had not spoken against him and expressed hope that he might have understood the feelings of people from the state.

"Not only me and Vishwanath, even Oscar Fernandes, Veerappa Moily, and Dharam Singh have worked hard to build the party in the state," he added. About anti-Yettinahole agitation, Poojary said that he will not stop fighting against the project till eithr the battle is won or his own life comes to an end.

One side Mr.Poo jar speaks of survival of the party.on the other side he speaks against his own party leaders. Another interesting thing is he says 6crore Kannadigas back him. In that case he would have easily won the last Loka sabha election.

No week passes without Mr.Poojary calling 'Mangalore press club' media briefing.

Despite 4 time defeat from Congress ticket he is thinking he is the only front runner in the party representing Mangalore district.

He is making all out efforts to 'Congress mukth Canara' from his own party Congress.

This the time to Congress high command to wake up and permanently send him to retirement home.

Party will survive if Poojary shuts up his mouth and lead a retired life. His suggestions are disastrous. If he needs newspaper space let him take up swatch bharat mission and clean the streets of Mangalore to enable Smart City Status.

poojary sir still in day dreaming. The reality is if poojary contest even a pachayat election he cannot win.Congress got into power in karnataka just because of siddaramayy.NOt because of parameshwar or SMK or kharge or dharam singh or oscar. All these kitcen cabinet members are outdated already. So its much better mr poojary or vishwanath with respect keep quite and enjoy retired life

Please dont comment against such a tall leader of DK without having any knowledge of ground support Mr Poojary enjoys .He might not have won MP -MLA Elections .But he still enjoys a massive ground support both within his community and outside his community .Look into the facts how much votes he got in each elections .much higher than other Congee leaders in every election .Mangalore has been a strong BJP seat thus he is not able to win .Once Veerappa moily was placed still Congress could not win .Nithing wrong with Poojary it is Mangalore people who are proBJP.

with due respect to the senior leader like poojary saab, what he stated that loan mela and other steps taken when he was finance minister was not much successful. when bank manager were not sanctioned loan under loan mela they been fired by by him, even beaten by the borrowers.people thought it was donation by the bank, most of the loan not recovered. he utters time and again in the press meet critising his party leaders and their policies instead he would solved such problems by meeting the individual leader and would have given his advise. now the burning problem of cauvery water what advise he wanted give to the state government looking into background of SC judgement.
