Abu Dhabi: Billawara Balaga’s 13th Anniversary Promotes Brotherhood

Abu Dhabi. Dec 15: Inspired by the powerful message of Sri Narayana Guru, Spiritual Guru of Billawas and in line with philosophy of 'One caste, One religion and One God', Billawara Balaga of Capital celebrated its 13 Anniversary with a function befitting the Guru’s teachings in an atmosphere of togetherness.
 
The event held at Sudanese Club Abu Dhabi was a grand success and fully enjoyed by a big crowd.
 
Community members belonging to various Billawa community Forums such as Billawas Dubai & NE, Billawara Balaga, Dubai, flocked together not only to take part in the day-long event but also present various cultural items . ‘This episode surely should culminate in fostering longstanding friendship and togetherness between all the folks was the wish of every Billawa who was present among audience.
 
The event started with prayer and traditional welcome dance followed by lighting of the lamp by the women members of the committee.
 
Community leader Shodan Prasad was felicitated by the committee members and Paramanand Salian and Jagdish Shivpur were honoured on the occasion.

There were many vibrant, colourful, foot-tapping and eye-catching cultural items presented by the children and adult members.
 
Jagdish Shivpur who is well-known as Junior Dr Rajkumar entertained the audience.
 
Tunes of legendary Tulu movie ‘Koti Chennayya’ by Sudhakar Tumbe and Shivappa Jagdish drew enthusiastic spontaneous response from the audience as they were soon found shaking their legs and enjoying to the maximum.
 
A drama skit “Abbage Dharage" by the members Billawas Balaga Abu Dhabi directed by Paramanand Salian was the special attraction.
 
Sumptuous lunch was served to all. Entire programme was compered by Manohar Tonse and Kishore Kotian. Ramesh Suvarna proposed vote of thanks.
