ICYM organizes fun-filled Kutma feast of Udupi deanery

Udupi, Sep 13: In the able leadership of ICYM Perampalli unit, ‘Kutma Feasth -2016’ of Udupi deanery was held on September 11 at Our Lady of Fathima Church, Perampalli.

 

 After inaugurating the programme, Fr Fred Mascarenhas said, “Today’s families are centralized and feast such as this is an inspiration to them. It is the responsibility of youths to look after their family in coming days. Let us learn family values today and strengthen the family bond.”

Eugene D'souza, resource person of Udupi diocese spoke on the importance of ‘Family life’.

Around 160 youths from eight parishes of Udupi deanery attended this joyous event.

Fr Lawrence Cutinho, Fr Lawrence D'souza, Fr William Martis, Fr Romeo Francis Lewis, sister Lenita D'souza, superior of Infant Mary convent, ICYM Perampalli co-ordinator Leena D'souza, ICYM diocese president and secretary Loyal D'souza and Felina D'souza, ICYM deanery president & Secretary Vinyl Delson D'souza and Janet D'Silva, Perampalli unit ICYM president and secretary Ronak Glen Olivera and Zeena D'souza were present for the event.

Later, Rosalia Cardoza, resource person of Udupi diocese, entertained the youth with various fun games.

Thereafter, lunch was served to all in south Indian style on banana leaves. Various vegetarian dishes were prepared by different ICYM units of Udupi Varado and were served for lunch.

Fr Royson Fernandes, Fr Alban D'souza, Fr Edwin D'souza were present. The fun-filled event ended with baila.

Ronek Glen Olivera welcomed the gathering. Vinyl D’souza Udupi denary president proposed the vote of thanks. Leema D’souza compered the programme.
