'Five' will be a different film for me: Omung Kumar


Mumbai, Sep 15 (IANS): Filmmaker Omung Kumar, who is shifting gears from making biopics to a psychological thriller with "Five", says his new project will be a totally different experience for him.

After "Mary Kom" and "Sarbjit", Omung will go behind the camera for "Five", which has already been set for release on Republic Day, 2018. The movie will be shot over a 70-day schedule and it is set against the locales of London and other parts of Britain.

"It's a very different film for me... I have literally been nursing this project for several years now and I am glad the time has come for the film to go on the floors," Omung said in a statement.

According to media reports, Akshay Kumar will star in five roles in "Five".

Bhushan Kumar and Sandeep Singh, who produced Omung's last directorial "Sarbjit", are back together again for the psychological thriller.

In a joint statement, they said: "Omung Kumar's 'Five' will raise the bar with its exciting storyline, fantastic music, and its unique setting."

The music will be composed by Mithoon, Jeet Gannguli and Amaal Mallik, screenplay by Utkarshini Vashishtha and the director of photography is Ravi Varman.
