Udupi: Kerala cultural association to hold Onam on Sep 18

Udupi, Sep 15: “Kerala cultural association centre Udupi will celebrate their 24 year anniversary and Onam feast celebration at Bannanje Shree Narayana Guru Kalyana Mandapam On Sunday September 18,” said T A Ravirajan, president Kerala cultural association centre Udupi during a press meet on Thursday September 15.

 “Onam is an important festival celebrated in Kerala and it is the only feast celebrated without any caste discrimination. The anniversary and Onam feast celebration will be inaugurated by minister Pramod Madhwaraj. He will also unveil ‘Member’s Directory 2016’ on the occasion.”

“Children of committee members who scored good marks in SSLC and PUC examination will be awarded with the cash prize. Onam special ‘Onasadhya’ lunch with special vegetarian dishes will be provided to the gathering. Cultural programme will be organized on the occasion,” he added.

President Ravirajan T A, secretary PA Mohandas and treasure Santhosh Kumar M, along with committee chairman M Krishnan will look after the programme. 

Meenakshi Madhava president of municipal corporation Udupi and Prof and Head Dr Tom Devasia Manipal Kasturba hospital Cardiology department will be chief guests of the programme.
