Kasargod, Sep 16: As a result of an accident involving a rickshaw and a tipper at Kunnurravi in Payyanur, five persons died on Friday, September 16.



The driver of the tipper lost control and hit the fish selling goods rickshaw.

Ganesh (38), his wife Lalitha (32), daughter Lisna (5) Aradhya (4) and Devaki (72) are the deceased. Four of them were occupants of the rickshaw except Devaki who had come to buy fish. Three injured have been taken hospital. Dead bodies have been taken for post-mortem.

Sources said that the driver of the tipper was drunk. He has absconded after the accident.

    only central government proposed new motor rule will avoid the accidents like this.i request all of daiji readers to support the central government.It doesn't give problem to who follow's rules very well.

    Sad....Outside every Bar one sees scores of Two wheelers .
    Does the police check these guys once they come out of the bar and they start their Bikes and zoom off after enjoying their drink.....endangering not only their Lives but also others....

    Rip. No words to express. Need tough driving tests to get licence for the motorist. Lot of people bought licence for money and didnt pass test result is careless driving hence tragedy. How many people going to sacrifice their life for irresponsible driving. We need police with speed guns patrolling roads and issuing tougher penalties this will add government coppers money and wages to police. So this way u control these reckless drivers killing people. At the moment u go to jail and come out of bail.
